She may not look like a hard-nosed boxer, but nevertheless, Marina Krasheninnikova is a rising star of the Médea Boxing Team. “Almost no one believes me when I say I box. Mainly its the guys I have to convince,” smiles the attractive blonde, who came to the Czech Republic four years ago from Russia. “My brother is studying here and my parents worked here. My mom and dad have gone back already, but I’ve stayed here with my brother,” says Krasheninnikova. Why did she choose boxing of all things? “I’ve always liked it, so five years ago I went for it. But not because of the men. Even though Vladimir Kličko is good-looking,” she laughs.
